Mr D.C. Cheung

Mr Cheung joined the Administrative Service of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 1993 and has served in various policy bureaux and departments, including the former Education and Manpower Bureau, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the former Health, Welfare and Food Bureau, the Home Affairs Department and the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau. He also worked in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices in Washington, D.C. and Brussels.

He was transferred to the Environment and Ecology Bureau in 2018, participating in formulating policies in the areas of sustainable development, waste management, water quality improvement and green procurement; developing strategies and promoting the development of renewable energy in Hong Kong; and assisting in the formulation of future fuel mix with reference to energy policy and climate action targets.

He has assumed the role of the Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco since April 2025.

Mr Cheung holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
