At the virtual program hosted by the Asia Society Northern California on October 25, Hong Kong Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing discussed Hong Kong’s pathway towards carbon neutrality. Mr Patrick Suckling, non-resident Senior Fellow of the Asia Society Policy Institute, moderated the conversation. They discussed how “Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050” could help the city achieve net-zero carbon emissions for electricity generation before 2050, the plan for electrification of transportation, and business opportunities associated with the transition to net-zero-.
