The highly anticipated M+, Asia’s first global museum of contemporary visual culture, opened on November 12.
Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), M+ showcases nearly 8,000 collections of 20th and 21st Century visual culture within an Asian context that encompass visual art, design and architecture as well as moving images.

Stanley Kwan, one of the most iconic film directors in Hong Kong, was honored at the 41st Hawaii International Film Festival’s (HIFF) Spotlight on Hong Kong Filmmaker in Focus. A live-streamed conversation with him was presented on November 9. Director Kwan discussed his illustrious career and talked about some of his best films. His groundbreaking movie, LAN YU, was presented in theater at the Festival.

Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco, Ms Jacko Tsang, spoke at a workshop on November 17 hosted by the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC) on business and investment opportunities in Hong Kong. The workshop was moderated by Mr Clifford Chiu, Senior Advisor and External Corporate Director at Vista Equity Partners and Director of GAACC.
